To get the best sound quality of your headphones, an external headphone amplifier is needed. In collaboration with degreed engineer Frank Blöhbau we developed the KHV-200. It was designed that almost every headphone could be driven with the best sound quality. Beside a 6.3mm headphone socket it also has an 4 pin XLR socket for the connection of high end headphones.
KHV-200 Hybrid headphone amplifier The number of people who like to enjoy music through headphones has grown steadily over the past few years and is still very popular. Many audio sources and amplifiers offer the possibility to connect headphones, but the sound usually falls short of how the headphones could actually perform. To obtain the most out of your headphones, we at Vincent have developed a completely new headphone amplifier - the KHV-200. In charge for this development was, as with the models SV-237MK, SV-737 or SA-T7, Dipl.-Ing. Frank Blöhbaum. The technical parameters of headphones vary enormously: the impedance of high quality head- phones ranges from 16 ohms to 600 ohms. With the same performance - even reproduction with the same power input - a low impedance means a greater current and lower voltage requirement. In the case of headphones with a relatively high impedance of e.g. 300 or 600 ohms, the opposite is true: for their harmonious control, the headphone amplifier must deliver a comparatively high voltage and therefore a lower current. Mobile end devices such as cell phones and tablets, for example, only provide low output voltages, which is why headphones with higher impedances on such devices are often too quiet. tubeLineProduCt invormation KHV-200 Hybrid headphone amplifier The headphone amplifier KHV-200 was designed in such a way that it can control almost all available headphones with the highest sound quality. Adjustments for this can be made using the integrated gain switch. In addition to the usual 6.3 mm jack connection, the device also has a 4-pin XLR connection. This means that even the highest quality headphones can be operated on the KHV-200.
